Swift police action leads to chain snatcher’s arrest within 24 hours

Hyderabad: In a swift and coordinated operation, Hyderabad police secured a chain snatcher’s arrest within 24 hours of the offence and recovered the stolen gold chain intact. The arrest was made by Chandanagar Police in coordination with CCS, Serilingampally Zone, and SOT, Cyberabad.

According to DCP Ch. Srinivas Kumar, the first complaint was lodged on January 31, when a 72-year-old woman reported that an unidentified person snatched her gold chain while she was walking near Ramalayam Temple Road, Old MIG Colony, BHEL. Shortly after, a similar case was reported involving a 73-year-old woman from the same locality.

Coordinated investigation leads to quick recovery

Police teams from Chandanagar, CCS, and SOT immediately began working with the available clues. Through continuous efforts, they successfully identified and apprehended the accused within 24 hours of the incidents.

Authorities recovered the stolen gold property in full. The operation was carried out under the direct supervision of DCP Ch. Srinivas (Serilingampally Zone), DCP Shoban Kumar (SOT), and DCP Muthyam Reddy (Crimes), with guidance from Addl. DCP Uday Reddy.

The police credited the arrest to seamless teamwork between Chandanagar Police Station, CCS, and SOT personnel.
