Hyderabad: South Central Railway (SCR) announced special MMTS trains during the nights of September 25-26 and September 26-27 for Ganesh idol immersion. The additional services were scheduled to handle the increased passenger rush expected during the immersion festivities.
SCR said the special services would operate between 11 pm and 5 am on both nights. The special MMTS trains would connect several stations across Hyderabad and Secunderabad during these hours.
The services would operate on the Secunderabad-Hyderabad, Hyderabad-Lingampally and Lingampally-Hyderabad routes. They would also run on the Hyderabad-Secunderabad, Hyderabad-Lingampally, Lingampally-Falaknuma, Falaknuma-Secunderabad and Secunderabad-Hyderabad routes.
Special MMTS trains to stop at all stations
SCR said the special trains would stop at all stations along their respective routes. The railway authorities scheduled the overnight services to accommodate passengers travelling during the Ganesh immersion festivities.
SCR advised passengers to use the additional MMTS services available during the two nights.
