Singareni officers’ revised pay scales approved for 1,800 executives

Hyderabad: Singareni management issued orders implementing revised pay scales for around 1,800 officers in executive cadres E-1 to E-7, following an assurance by Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka. The decision addressed a long-pending demand from Singareni officers. The management approved the salary revision in line with the pay structure followed by Coal India.

The revised basic pay scales took effect retrospectively from January 1, 2017. However, monetary benefits became applicable from September 25, 2026, when the Singareni Board approved the proposal. Accordingly, the revised salaries were scheduled for payment from October 2026 onwards.

Singareni officers’ revised pay benefits and implementation dates

Gautam Potru, Director (Personnel) of Singareni, issued the official orders on Monday evening, October 19. The orders covered approximately 1,800 officers working across executive grades E-1 to E-7. The revision brought their basic pay scales into line with those of Coal India officers.

Although the revised basic pay structure carried an effective date of January 1, 2017, the financial benefits applied from September 25, 2026. The Singareni Board had approved the proposal on that date, establishing the starting point for monetary benefits under the revised structure.

Meanwhile, the management decided to begin paying the revised salaries from October, implementing the long-awaited salary revision. Leaders of the Singareni Officers’ Association thanked Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka for addressing their request.

They expressed special gratitude to both leaders for considering the officers’ longstanding demand and fulfilling the assurance regarding the revised pay scales. The association acknowledged the government’s response to the pay revision request, which affected officers across seven executive grades.
