Hyderabad: The Telangana government on Wednesday issued orders to release two pending DA instalments for state government employees and teachers. The government decided to release the Dearness Allowance instalments due from January 2024 and July 2024 simultaneously.
Consequently, the decision increased DA for general employees covered by the revised pay scales from 33.67% to 37.31%. The revised rate took effect from January 1, 2024, according to the government orders.
Pending DA instalments released together
The government issued the orders covering both DA instalments as part of its decision concerning employee benefits. The January 2024 instalment resulted in the revision of the DA rate for general employees under the revised pay scales.
Accordingly, eligible employees saw the applicable rate rise by 3.64 percentage points, from 33.67% to 37.31%. The government also included the DA instalment due from July 2024 in its simultaneous release decision.
State government employees and teachers were covered by the decision on the two long-pending instalments. The orders formally implemented the government’s decision to clear the pending DA instalments together.
