Hyderabad: Minister Seethakka launched a sharp attack on BRS leaders K.T. Rama Rao and Harish Rao on Friday, accusing them of deceit, panic-driven politics, and a decade of misrule in Telangana.
Addressing the media, she ridiculed their sudden campaigning, claiming it reflected clear fear of electoral defeat. Seethakka accused KTR of betraying both his sister and Maganti’s mother. She described the latter as a “91-year-old woman humiliated without regard for her age.” She demanded that BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao respond to the mother’s allegations.
Seethakka slams KTR: BRS accused of misrule, deception
Seethakka urged Telangana’s women to closely watch KTR’s conduct. She also attacked Harish Rao over his claim of a “silent revolution” in the 2023 elections. “That revolution drowned you,” she said. She questioned why Harish Rao, recently inactive, was now rushing to campaign. His urgency, she argued, came from fear of another defeat.
She accused BRS of wrecking Telangana over ten years through mafia control of wine, mines, land, and sand. “That’s why voters taught you a lesson,” she said. She added that the current Congress government under Revanth Reddy was addressing public issues. Welfare programmes such as Indiramma housing and subsidised rice had resumed.
Continuing her criticism, Seethakka said KCR’s rule failed to issue even a single ration card in a decade. She also accused BRS leaders of grabbing government lands. “You grabbed land; we are reclaiming it,” she said. “Your rule submerged Hyderabad in neglect, failing to provide even basic civic amenities.”
