Hyderabad: Women and Child Welfare Minister Danasari Anasuya, known as Seethakka, took part in the Batukamma celebrations Hyderabad held at the offices of the Child Rights Commission and the Women and Child Development (WCD) Department in Jubilee Hills.
Women employees marked the festival with devotion and joy. Children from Shishu Vihar also joined the event, adding to the festive spirit.
Minister Seethakka, along with officials, offered floral tributes and danced around traditional Batukamma stacks. The gathering highlighted Telangana’s cultural richness and community bonding.
Several senior officials attended the celebration. These included Child Rights Commission Chairperson Sita Dayakar Reddy, WCD Secretary Anita Ramachandran, Women’s Commission Member Bandru Shobha, and WCD Director Shruti Ojha. Commission Members Aparna, Chandan, Vandana Goud, Sarita, and Premalatha Agarwal were also present.
The event reflected the department’s commitment to preserving tradition while promoting inclusivity and public engagement.
