Hyderabad: Schneider Electric India has committed to investing ₹623 crore to expand its manufacturing operations in Telangana. Importantly, the Schneider Electric Hyderabad expansion was discussed during a meeting with the ‘Telangana Rising’ delegation at the World Economic Forum 2026 in Davos.
The investment will boost production capacity at the company’s existing facilities in Gagillapur and Shamshabad, marking a significant Schneider Electric Hyderabad expansion. It will focus on electrical safety products such as air circuit breakers, molded case circuit breakers, contactors, and push buttons.
The delegation, led by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, held discussions with Deepak Sharma, CEO of Schneider Electric India, on broader collaborations in energy transition and storage. These talks on grid modernisation, energy efficiency, and digital power management play a key role in the overall Schneider Electric Hyderabad expansion strategy for industrial parks and urban infrastructure.
Revanth Reddy praised IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu for securing the investment and said sustainability remains a cornerstone of Telangana’s net zero development goals by 2047.
Minister Sridhar Babu noted that Telangana has become one of India’s fastest-growing electronics manufacturing hubs. The growth covers telecom hardware, industrial and consumer electronics, and advanced systems. He also discussed potential expansion of smart-factory and energy management manufacturing capabilities. This is further evidence of the ongoing Schneider Electric Hyderabad expansion, which includes automation and electric vehicle-related components.
Deepak Sharma highlighted that Schneider currently operates 38 development centres in Telangana focused on skill development. The company specialises in industrial automation, energy management, and digital transformation.
