Hyderabad: An Aswapuram RTC bus mounted a road divider in Bhadradri Kothagudem district shortly after midnight, leaving passengers shaken but unhurt. The incident occurred on the main road opposite the Aswapuram police station.
The RTC bus was travelling from Palvancha to Manuguru when it climbed onto the divider. According to local reports, the driver allegedly lost control of the vehicle. Passengers got down to inspect the bus and found it precariously balanced on the divider, creating panic at the scene.
Aswapuram RTC bus incident raises road safety concerns
Although no passenger suffered injuries, the RTC bus incident renewed concerns over road safety in the area. Travellers urged the Roads and Buildings (R&B) Department to install proper signboards, traffic signals and adequate lighting near the stretch.
Residents also alleged that similar accidents occur frequently at the location. They appealed to R&B officials to improve safety measures and prevent further mishaps.
