Hyderabad: RS Praveen Kumar alleged that the Telangana government transferred his wife, Lakshmi Bai, as part of a campaign of political vendetta against him.
Addressing the media on Thursday, the senior BRS leader and former IPS officer said the government shifted his wife from the Agriculture Department to the Cooperatives Department, which he described as unrelated to her field. He added, “I had entered politics fully prepared to face any consequences.”
RS Praveen Kumar alleges continued political targeting
Praveen Kumar claimed the transfer formed part of a series of actions against him. He alleged that the government had withdrawn his personal staff, taken back his official vehicle and reduced his security cover.
Furthermore, he said he had secured partial relief from the High Court on the security issue. However, he alleged that the government had now unfairly targeted his wife.
Praveen Kumar also asserted that the BRS would not be intimidated by such actions. He said the party would continue to stand with the people and wage a sustained struggle against the Congress government.
