Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka said on Friday that Telangana is rapidly emerging as an investment hub due to its strong infrastructure and skilled workforce.
He addressed representatives from major corporate consultancies — Deloitte, EY, KPMG, BCG, PwC and JLL — during a meeting at Praja Bhavan. During his interaction, Bhatti described Telangana as a “paradise for investments.”
Focus on a $3 trillion economy
Bhatti noted that the government aims to transform Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047. He said favourable climatic and geographical conditions, along with low-cost and highly skilled human resources, continue to drive growth. These factors are also helping build a business-friendly climate in the state.
The Deputy CM added that no other state in India offers an ecosystem comparable to Telangana’s. He pointed to key infrastructure projects such as the Outer Ring Road and the upcoming Regional Ring Road. According to him, these corridors will connect major districts and link with 39 planned radial roads. As a result, several industrial parks — including pharma, IT, handloom and agro-based clusters — are taking shape along these routes.
Education, IT and pharma push investment growth
Bhatti said Hyderabad’s strong educational base is strengthening local talent pools. The city hosts institutions such as IIT, IIIT, central universities and many engineering colleges. Consequently, Telangana’s IT and pharma sectors have reached global standards, supported by reliable digital infrastructure.
Power, water and safety strengthen investor confidence
On the power front, Bhatti said Telangana provides industries with 24-hour, uninterrupted electricity. He also highlighted the state’s shift towards green energy to avoid future shortages. In addition, he cited Telangana’s water security due to its location between the Krishna and Godavari rivers and the development of industrial water systems.
He further noted that Telangana Police ensures one of the strongest law enforcement systems in India, creating a secure climate for international investors.
Future City and new export corridor
Bhatti outlined plans for a 30,000-acre Future City that will house a Skill University, sports arenas and IT and AI centres. He said all approvals are in place for a Greenfield Highway connecting Future City to Bandar Port via Amaravati. This corridor, he added, will significantly boost industrial exports.
Call to support Telangana Rising 2047
The Deputy CM urged all stakeholders to support the Telangana Rising 2047 vision. He expressed confidence that the state’s development trajectory will remain strong in the coming years.
