President Droupadi Murmu arrives in Hyderabad for two-day visit

Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Hyderabad on Friday afternoon for a two-day official visit.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, Telangana Governor, Jishnu Dev Verma, Union Minister, G. Kishan Reddy, State Minister, Ponnam Prabhakar, GHMC Mayor, Gadwala Vijayalakshmi, Chief Secretary Ramakrishna Rao, DGP Shivdhar Reddy, Hyderabad District Collector Dasari Harichandana and Hyderabad CP Sajjanar welcomed her at Begumpet Airport.

After the ceremonial welcome, officials escorted the President to Raj Bhavan, where the Governor received her. The visit marks the start of her participation in the Bharatiya Kala Mahotsav 2025 at Rashtrapati Nilayam in Secunderabad.

Festival showcases western India’s cultural diversity

This year’s Mahotsav highlights the cultural heritage of western India. Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra and Goa, along with the union territories of Dadra Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, are presenting their craft, cuisine, literature and folk traditions.

The President will stay at Raj Bhavan overnight and leave for Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, on November 22.
