Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy reviewed the Telangana Rising-2047 policy draft with ministers and top officials. He directed that the document lay out a clear economic roadmap to shape Telangana into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.
He instructed officials to define a phased strategy to reach a $1 trillion economy by 2034. The plan must divide Telangana’s development into three regional models — Core Urban Region Economy (CURE), Peri Urban Region Economy (PURE), and Rural Agriculture Region Economy (RARE).
The Chief Minister stressed that each region’s development type and scale must be clearly specified. He asked departments to identify priority sectors such as health, education, technology, GCCs, pharma, and agriculture. These sectors should be mapped across the three regional zones in the policy.
He highlighted the need for strong infrastructure in roads, ports, and connectivity. Departments must also plan clearly for welfare programs, temple and eco-tourism, and energy development.
Revanth Reddy urged airport planners to include cargo services along with passenger operations at upcoming terminals. He said the policy must reflect Telangana’s long-term vision and prove that governance in the state will remain free from policy paralysis.
He told officials to design practical, grounded frameworks that are realistic and implementable.
