Hyderabad: Chief Minister Revanth Reddy inaugurated the newly constructed Sripada Rao Central Hall at the Telangana Assembly on Monday. The new facility was opened in the Assembly lobby shortly before the House sessions began.
Revanth Reddy first inaugurated his modernised office at the Legislative Assembly. Later, he reached the lobby and formally opened the central hall by cutting the ribbon.
Assembly Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy attended the programme. Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy and Duddilla Sridhar Babu were also present.
Several MLAs and MLCs participated in the inauguration programme. The gathering brought together members from different political parties at the Assembly.
The chief minister said the new facility could support meaningful discussions among legislators. He expressed hope that the Sripada Rao Central Hall would provide a suitable platform for thoughtful interactions during breaks between sessions of both Houses.
Sripada Rao Central Hall hosts breakfast gathering
Following the inauguration, Revanth Reddy joined ministers and legislators for breakfast at the central hall. Congress MLAs and MLCs attended the gathering along with members of the BJP and CPI.
The breakfast brought members from different parties together after the inauguration. The event marked the opening of the newly constructed facility inside the Telangana Assembly.
The chief minister had arrived at the Assembly shortly before the scheduled start of the sessions. He inaugurated his modernised office before proceeding to the lobby for the central hall ceremony.
The Sripada Rao Central Hall is expected to serve as a common space for legislators during breaks. Revanth Reddy said the facility could encourage fruitful and thoughtful discussions between members of both Houses.
