CM Revanth Reddy reviews Medak, Kamareddy rain situation; directs officials on high alert

Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday reviewed the flood situation in Kamareddy and Medak districts, where continuous rains have disrupted normal life.

He stayed in regular contact with district collectors and senior officials and sought immediate updates from the ground. Revanth directed the administrations in both districts to remain on high alert and take all possible steps to protect people in flood-prone areas.

He instructed all departments to stay on full standby for any rain-related emergency. He also asked them to launch immediate relief operations wherever needed and ensure timely help to affected families.

The Chief Minister directed Chief Secretary K. B. K. Thanoo to coordinate with disaster relief agencies. He authorized the use of the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) if necessary.

With streams and rivulets swelling in several areas, the CM called for quick evacuations from high-risk zones. He told officials to provide shelter, food, and medical aid to all displaced families.

Revanth Reddy also asked authorities to monitor irrigation structures and tanks closely to prevent breaches. In flooded areas, he urged civic bodies to launch sanitation drives to curb the spread of diseases.

He reiterated that saving lives and delivering immediate assistance remains the government’s top priority. He assured that all efforts would continue until normalcy returns after the rains subside.
