CM Revanth Reddy envisions iconic T-Square at Raidurg as digital hub

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Saturday directed officials to ensure that the proposed T-Square at Raidurg is designed as a landmark structure combining digital vibrancy, public engagement, and global corporate compatibility. He asked that development works begin by the end of November.

The T-Square is being developed as a signature public destination in Hyderabad’s core IT zone. The project aims to transform the area into a 24×7 hub for entertainment, business, tourism, and digital media. The state envisions a world-class public space anchored by electronic facades and large-scale digital advertising.

Revanth Reddy held a high-level review meeting at the Integrated Command and Control Centre, joined by IT and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu and senior officials including Jayesh Ranjan and Sanjay Kumar.

T-Square to merge business, culture, and digital media

The Chief Minister said the project should integrate entertainment, culture, food, commerce, and technology into a cohesive design. He asked that global tech firms, including Apple, be accommodated within the planning framework. He also stressed the importance of smooth parking and traffic flow.

The vision includes transforming T-Square into a digital canvas for the city, built for the social media era. It will feature illuminated digital displays and serve as a hotspot for commercial and cultural activity.

AI Innovation Hub to consolidate Telangana’s AI ecosystem

During the meeting, Revanth Reddy also reviewed progress on the proposed AI Innovation Hub. This initiative will unify Telangana’s AI ecosystem—including startups, Centres of Excellence, and government programs—under one platform. The hub aims to drive collaboration with global tech firms and academic institutions.

Minister Sridhar Babu said the state will create a dedicated fund of funds to support AI innovation and startups. He emphasised Telangana’s push to become a global leader in AI through focused investment, skill-building, and partnerships.

Since 2024, the Telangana government has launched several AI initiatives. These include the Global AI Summit, the Telangana AI Rising Grand Challenge, and the AI City project plan. The state also launched TGDeX—India’s first state-led data exchange—and an AI catalyst program for government departments.

The government plans to further its AI strategy by establishing an AI university focused on training students and professionals in cutting-edge skills.
