Revanth’s OU speech ‘venomous and incoherent’, alleges BRS MLC Sravan

Hyderabad: BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan on Thursday sharply criticised Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy’s recent address at Osmania University, describing it as “chaotic, incoherent and venomous.” Sravan accused the CM of using the public platform to launch personal attacks on former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

Speaking at Telangana Bhavan, Sravan an Osmania University alumnus said he had expected a message of inspiration but found the speech divisive. He remarked, “Even tying a stone to a dog’s tail won’t straighten it,” while accusing Revanth of misusing student forums for political messaging.

MLC hits out at CM’s ‘feudal mindset’ and education policies

Sravan alleged that Revanth Reddy had “betrayed the Telangana movement” and lacked the moral ground to speak about its history. He also accused the Chief Minister of harbouring a feudal mentality, claiming Revanth once demanded that people remove footwear while passing his residence.

The BRS leader further criticised the Congress-led government for weakening Gurukul institutions, ignoring Backward Class voices in reservation debates, and misleading the public on SC classification and caste census issues. Taking a dig at Revanth’s stance on English education, Sravan said, “He doesn’t want others to learn what he couldn’t,” and contrasted this with Rahul Gandhi’s support for English and the global success of India’s IT professionals.

Mocking the Chief Minister’s attire at the Global Summit, Sravan questioned whether global investors would take him seriously and remarked that even actor Chiranjeevi dressed more appropriately. “In Revanth’s regime, Telangana is not rising it is ravaging,” he said, urging the CM to stop targeting KCR and instead focus on governance.
