Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met Wednesday with AICC in-charge Meenakshi Natarajan and TPCC president Mahesh Kumar Goud to finalise Congress’s protest roadmap for BC reservations.
The leaders discussed party building efforts, the ongoing padayatra, and the upcoming action plan in Delhi to press for parliamentary approval of the 42% BC quota bills. The meeting lasted over 90 minutes.
Congress will hold its scheduled state padayatra from July 31 to August 4. The Delhi protest is planned from August 5 to 7, aimed at pushing the Centre to clear the reservation legislation.
On August 5, party MPs are expected to raise the issue through adjournment motions in both Houses of Parliament. A large protest is set for August 6 at Jantar Mantar, where CM Revanth Reddy, ministers, legislators, party leaders, and BC community representatives will participate.
On August 7, the delegation plans to submit a memorandum to the President. Each assembly constituency will send 50 party members to Delhi via a special train. The Telangana padayatra will resume after the Delhi campaign concludes.
