Hyderabad: Senior IAS officer Ravi Gugulothu assumed TGSWREIS secretary charge at the society’s head office in Hyderabad on Monday. He formally took charge from FAC Secretary Kambhampati Sharada at DSS Bhavan, Masab Tank.
Officials and employees welcomed Ravi with bouquets and potted plants. Subsequently, he met officers and staff from various sections of the head office. Ravi familiarised himself with the functioning of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society. He also sought details about staff duties, responsibilities and key operational issues.
Soon after taking TGSWREIS secretary charge, Ravi visited and inspected all sections of the head office. During the inspection, he interacted directly with officers and employees. He asked staff about their responsibilities and the issues they faced. In addition, he sought information about matters pending at various levels.

Ravi stressed that the head office should not remain confined to the movement of files. Instead, he said its functioning should remain closely connected with services and facilities provided to students in the field. He emphasised the need to link administrative work with the quality of services delivered to students.
