Ranga Reddy to celebrate 16th National Voters’ Day with rallies, pledges, and EPIC card distribution

Hyderabad: Ranga Reddy District will observe the 16th National Voters’ Day on January 25 with district-wide events. This is as per the guidelines of the Election Commission of India. District Collector and Election Officer C. Narayana Reddy on Saturday said the celebrations will highlight the importance of voting and aim to increase awareness among all age groups.

The programme will be held at the district headquarters, all Assembly constituency centres, mandal offices, and polling booth levels.

16th National Voters’ Day to see mass rallies, EPIC cards, and senior voter felicitation

Key activities include large-scale awareness rallies featuring students and youth to emphasise the value of voting in a democracy. Voters across all offices and polling centres will also take a formal pledge to uphold their electoral responsibilities.

Newly registered voters will be issued Electoral Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) during the programme. Senior citizens who actively participate in elections will be honoured as part of the democratic celebration.

The Collector urged citizens, particularly the youth, to take part in the events and fulfil their democratic duties by voting responsibly. He also called on the public to help make the National Voters’ Day a success and strengthen participatory democracy.
