Hyderabad: Rajiv Swagruha Corporation received a strong response from buyers during the auction of open plots in Rangareddy and Medchal-Malkajgiri districts. The corporation earned around Rs 83 crore through the sale of 85 plots in Thorur, Kurmalguda and Bahadurpally.
Officials conducted the public auction on Monday at a private function hall in Pedda Amberpet. Bidders purchased plots at rates higher than the base prices fixed by the corporation.
Managing Director V.P. Gautham said Rajiv Swagruha plots attracted heavy competition because the layouts offered clear titles and developed infrastructure. He added that the plots were located near Future City and the Outer Ring Road.
Rajiv Swagruha plots record high prices
According to officials, bidders offered the highest price of Rs 45,500 per square yard for plots in Thorur. The corporation fixed the base price at Rs 25,000 per square yard for the 66 plots spread across 200 to 700 square yards.
Officials said buyers purchased the Thorur plots at an average price of Rs 32,500 per square yard. The layout is located near the ORR and Adibatla IT corridor.
In Kurmalguda, officials fixed the base price at Rs 20,000 per square yard for plots ranging from 200 to 400 square yards. However, the highest bid touched Rs 27,500 per square yard.
Bahadurpally plots near the Outer Ring Road also witnessed strong demand. The corporation fixed the base price at Rs 27,000 per square yard, while bidders offered a maximum of Rs 40,500 per square yard during the auction.
Officials said buyers purchased land in Bahadurpally at an average price of Rs 33,800 per square yard. Around 150 bidders from different areas participated in the transparent auction process held from morning till evening.
