Rain alert for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh districts

Hyderabad: The Meteorological Department issued a rain alert for Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, warning of showers in several districts today.

Officials said pre-monsoon showers arrived earlier than usual this summer. Due to the influence of a trough, parts of both states are likely to receive rainfall.

In Telangana, heavy rain may occur in Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Medak and Kamareddy districts. Authorities also issued a yellow alert for these districts.
