Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Police Commissionerate on Wednesday organised the third mega free medical camp for senior citizens under the Golden Care initiative, a flagship programme focused on the care and support of the elderly.
The camp was held at Lakshmi Gardens Convention Hall under the joint aegis of the Rachakonda Police Commissionerate and the Rachakonda Security Council (RKSC). The initiative was conceptualised under the leadership and vision of Rachakonda Police Commissioner Sudheer Babu.
Sudheer Babu attended the programme as the chief guest. Through the camp, doctors provided comprehensive medical services to 244 senior citizens in a single location.
Specialist doctors, with support from GEMCARE Gym Care Palomy, Soli Eye Care, Soujanya Dental and Maa ENT, offered consultations in general medicine, cardiology, orthopaedics, dentistry and ophthalmology. Medical teams also conducted free diagnostic tests, including ECG, blood pressure checks and random blood sugar tests.
Golden Care initiative praised by beneficiaries
Officials reiterated their commitment to senior citizen welfare during the programme. Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Rachakonda Commissionerate for organising the camp and for making multiple healthcare services available at one venue.
Senior police officers including C.H. Sridhar, Usha Rani, Venkata Ramana, Y. Venkat Reddy and Venkateshwarulu participated in the programme.
Representatives of the Rachakonda Security Council, including joint secretary Radhikanath, chief coordinator M. Savithri and K. Suryanarayana, were also present. Circle Inspectors from Kushaiguda, Neredmet, Cherlapalli, Jawaharnagar and Keesara, along with She Teams officers M. Muni and Anjaiah, coordinated arrangements and ensured the smooth conduct of the camp.
