Hyderabad: President Droupadi Murmu will visit Hyderabad on Wednesday evening as part of her annual winter stay in Telangana.
She will reach Begumpet Airport by special flight. The Governor, Chief Minister, and senior officials will receive her. Thereafter, she will proceed directly to Rashtrapati Nilayam at Bollarum in Secunderabad, where she will stay during the visit.
Ahead of President Droupadi Murmu’s visit, the State government placed all departments on alert. Accordingly, Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao reviewed security, traffic diversions, uninterrupted power supply, and medical arrangements with senior officials.
Meanwhile, authorities completed sanitation works around Rashtrapati Nilayam. In addition, police deployed tight security in the surrounding areas. Officials also announced that public visits to Rashtrapati Nilayam would remain suspended during the President’s stay.
President Droupadi Murmu’s Hyderabad visit schedule
On December 19, President Droupadi Murmu will inaugurate the national conference of Public Service Commission chairpersons in Hyderabad. On December 20, she will attend the Brahma Kumaris Shanti Sarovar 21st anniversary programme. She will also address the ‘Timeless Wisdom of Bharat’ conference.
After completing her engagements, the President will conclude her Hyderabad visit. She will depart for New Delhi on Monday morning, December 22, officials said.
