Hyderabad: Political strategist Prashant Kishore on Tuesday denied reports claiming that he would work with former MP and Jagruti president K Kalvakuntla Kavitha, who recently announced plans to launch a new political party in Telangana.
The clarification came after Kavitha resigned from her MLC post and announced in the Telangana Legislative Council that she would float a new political outfit. Several media and social media reports claimed that Kavitha had held meetings with Prashant Kishore to discuss strategy for the proposed party.
Responding to these reports, Prashant Kishore said the claims were false. He stated that reports suggesting he met Kavitha twice in recent days were rumours. He also denied any discussions on forming a new party in Telangana.
Kishore said there was no truth in the so-called leaks circulating in the media. He rejected claims that he had spoken about the scope for another political party in Telangana. He described the reports linking him to Kavitha as baseless speculation.

Clarifying his position, Prashant Kishore said he had not taken any decision related to political strategy in Telangana. He added that he had not agreed to work with Kavitha or any new political formation.
He said he would personally announce any decision regarding his political journey or professional engagements. According to him, reports suggesting otherwise lacked credibility.
Following his statement, speculation over Kavitha’s proposed party and Prashant Kishore’s alleged role appeared to subside. For now, the strategist made it clear that he remained unaffiliated with any new political initiative in Telangana.
