Power shutdown in Hyderabad on November 1 for maintenance

Hyderabad: The Telangana power department will cut electricity in several city areas on November 1. The planned shutdown will allow tree trimming and maintenance work under multiple feeders.

Power will go off in two sessions — 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The affected feeders include ITI Mallepally, Nampally, ASR Nagar, Toli Chowki, Golconda, Moti Mahal, Aditya Towers, and Langar Houz.

During the first session, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the supply will stop in AC Guards, SBI Bank, IDBI Quarters, Asian Apartments, Bazaar Ghat Church, and Masjid Bilal. Power will also be off in Police Quarters, Shantinagar, Gokul Nagar, Glory Theatre, Lakdi-ka-Pul, BSNL Office, and IAS Colony.

Moreover, Bakhtawar Guda, MCH Colony, Gulshan Colony, Peace City, Jai Hind Nagar, Moti Darwaza, and Company Bagh will face interruptions.

Later, between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m., the shutdown will continue in Bazaar Ghat, Hanuman Mandir, Himalaya Hotel, Niloufer Hotel, Red Hills, and Kailash Nagar. Supply will also stop in Feroze Gandhi Nagar, Hashim Nagar, Mehdipatnam, Nizam Colony, Toli Chowki, and Dawlat Gulshan Colony.

In addition, Bapu Ghat, Pension Pura, Langar Houz Market, Ambedkar Nagar, Aziz Bagh, Passport Office, Aditya Towers, and Anand Vihar Apartments will experience power cuts.

Therefore, officials advised residents to plan and keep backup arrangements ready. They also urged citizens to cooperate during the maintenance hours to ensure smooth work.
