Hyderabad: Senior BRS leader Ponnala Lakshmaiah on Saturday called for inclusive development, ethical deployment of Artificial Intelligence, and greater youth participation during the Vision India Dialogue in Hyderabad.
In an hour-long interaction with Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav and other participants, Ponnala described Hyderabad as a symbol of discipline fused with imagination. He said national progress should be assessed not by growth figures alone. Instead, it should be measured by how effectively jobs, skills, and opportunities reach all communities.
AI as infrastructure, not disruption
He underscored the urgency of treating AI as critical national infrastructure, especially in areas like education, healthcare, governance, and enterprise. However, he warned that AI must empower rather than replace people. According to him, it should become an equaliser for talent, particularly from rural and underrepresented areas.
Ponnala also focused on the aspirations of India’s youth. He said young people are not seeking permission but platforms, and urged for systems that reward innovation, initiative, and entrepreneurship.
Concluding his remarks, he stressed that long-term national development depends on planning, discipline, and shared growth. He said India’s future would be driven by scalable ideas, enduring systems, and leadership that thinks beyond the headlines.
