B-Forms will be issued based on survey, says Ponguleti ahead of municipal polls

Hyderabad: Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday assured that the Congress will distribute B-Forms for the upcoming municipal elections based strictly on survey reports. He urged party workers not to be disheartened. Additionally, he asked them to work with full energy to ensure the Congress flag flies high across municipalities.

Addressing a preparatory meeting in Wardhannapet town along with local MLA K.R. Nagaraju, the Minister criticised opposition leaders for spreading falsehoods and said former ministers were “dreaming during the day.”

Congress municipal poll strategy shaped by surveys, says Ponguleti

Ponguleti promised that work on a 100-bed hospital and an integrated school would begin soon. These will be built with ₹200 crore. He also said the government would take full responsibility for restoring certain tandas (tribal hamlets) to gram panchayat status. The government will do this by placing the proposal before the cabinet and Assembly, as demanded by residents.

Calling Congress a “people’s government” that understands the struggles of the people with low-income, Ponguleti said it is committed to standing by the public in all circumstances. He encouraged workers to replicate the success seen in Assembly elections. In addition, he asked them to secure Congress victories in municipal wards as well.

He accused BRS leaders of misleading the public by claiming their party would return to power. Asserting confidence, Ponguleti predicted that Congress would capture 70–80% of seats in the municipal elections.

He also welcomed recent defections from TRS, formally inducting new members into the Congress by offering them party scarves.

Leaders including Errabelli Varada Rajeshwar Rao and Ravinder Rao participated in the meeting.
