Hyderabad: Congress leader Mynampally Hanumanth Rao strongly attacked BRS working president K. T. Rama Rao, accusing the party of lowering political discourse in Telangana.
Responding to KTR’s recent remarks, Hanumanth Rao said the BRS damaged political language immediately after coming to power. He alleged that the family of former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao carried the responsibility for degrading public discourse.
Hanumanth Rao questioned whether KTR entered politics only by using his father’s name. He said the people of Telangana clearly understood how the BRS leadership built its political careers.

Drawing a comparison, the Congress leader said Chief Minister Revanth Reddy rose step by step through personal effort and public support. He said Revanth began his political journey as a ZPTC member and later won as an Independent MLC.
Hanumanth Rao said Revanth Reddy went on to win three Assembly elections and later secured victory as a Member of Parliament. He added that the party elected Revanth as PCC president before the people elevated him as chief minister.
Referring to remarks made a week earlier, Hanumanth Rao asked whether KTR himself had used inappropriate language. He claimed the BRS had completely lost public support in Telangana. According to him, frustration over the party’s decline drove KTR’s recent statements.
