Murder cases shock Bhupalpally and Nirmal districts

Hyderabad: Two murder cases shocked Telangana, with police probing a murder-suicide in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district and a separate killing in Nirmal district.

In the first case, police said Balaji Ramachari (50) killed his wife Sandhya (42) by hanging her at Seetarampuram village in Ganapuram mandal. He later died by suicide at the same location.

Police said Ramachari married Sandhya after the death of his first wife. Investigators said he recorded a video and posted a status message before the incident.

The incident plunged Seetarampuram village into grief. Police reached the spot, registered a case and began an investigation.

Murder cases include killing over witchcraft suspicion

In the second murder case, police reported a killing in Udumpur village of Kadem mandal in Nirmal district. The incident occurred on the night of December 10.

Police said Desineni Bhimaiah (55) was attacked and killed by Muthi Naresh (21) and his brother Mallesh (23), both from the same village.

After the killing, the accused burned the body in a nearby forest area. Police registered a case following a complaint from the victim’s family.

During questioning, the accused reportedly told police they suspected Bhimaiah of practising witchcraft. Police said further investigation was underway in both murder cases.
