MGBS bus fire triggers panic among passengers

Hyderabad: An MGBS bus fire triggered panic among passengers after flames suddenly erupted in a parked RTC bus at the Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station in Hyderabad.

The incident occurred at the platform where buses heading towards Gadwal usually halt. According to reports, the fire broke out unexpectedly while the bus was stationed at the platform.

Passengers inside the vehicle panicked after noticing the flames. They immediately got down from the bus and attempted to control the fire.

RTC staff present at the bus station quickly responded and prevented the flames from spreading further. Staff members used water to douse the fire, thereby averting a major accident.

Authorities said rising temperatures and intense summer heat had contributed to an increase in fire incidents across the state in recent weeks.

Following the MGBS bus fire, officials and traffic police advised motorists and passengers to remain cautious during travel. They also urged people to avoid travelling during peak afternoon temperatures whenever possible.

Officials further asked vehicle owners to regularly inspect vehicles during summer to prevent heat-related mechanical issues and fire accidents.
