Hyderabad: The Mee Suraksha drive launched by Malkajgiri Police received strong public response across the commissionerate with more than 18,000 citizens voluntarily registering domestic workers and support staff.
Police said the initiative aimed to improve household and community safety through systematic verification and enrolment of domestic helpers.
According to officials, authorities registered 8,771 people in Malkajgiri Zone, 4,837 in Uppal Zone and 4,805 in LB Nagar Zone. Overall, the campaign recorded 18,413 registrations across the commissionerate.
Police are conducting enrolment drives at all police stations under the commissionerate. Authorities are registering maids, drivers, caretakers, gardeners and private security staff as part of the initiative.
Mee Suraksha drive focuses on community safety
Officials said the programme encouraged residents to voluntarily register domestic workers to improve security measures in residential colonies and neighbourhoods.
Police stated that the initiative would help strengthen verification systems and improve public safety. They described the campaign as a small step towards safer families and secure communities.
Malkajgiri Police urged more residents to participate in the campaign and complete enrolment of domestic staff members.
