Hyderabad: Medchal Ganesh immersion celebrations featured a special “BRICS India 2026” theme this year. The Chaitanya Youth group organised the Ganesh mandapam and immersion chariot in Medchal town.
For this year’s procession, the organisers designed the event around India’s role on the global stage. They drew inspiration from Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speeches ahead of the 18th BRICS Summit in New Delhi.
The immersion chariot carried national flags and the BRICS logo. In addition, a lotus design appeared at the rear to represent Indian culture.
Images of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Lokmanya Tilak also featured prominently on the chariot. Thus, the organisers combined national and cultural imagery with the Ganesh immersion celebrations.
