Hyderabad: Greater Hyderabad Mayor Gadwala Vijayalakshmi on Thursday directed GHMC officials to stay on high alert in view of persistent rainfall across the city.
Holding a teleconference with Zonal Commissioners, the Mayor reviewed preparedness and response mechanisms. She noted the continuing rains and forecasts issued by the Meteorological Department, instructing officials to respond promptly to citizen complaints.
Special focus was placed on waterlogging zones to prevent traffic disruptions. Officials were asked to coordinate with the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Assets Monitoring and Protection (HYDRAA) teams to clear blockages and address rain-related issues without delay.
The GHMC has activated helplines for public complaints: 040-29555500, 040-21111111, and 9000113667. Citizens can also lodge complaints via the Hydra platform.
