Hyderabad: Telangana Congress Disciplinary Committee chairman Mallu Ravi on Wednesday hit out at BRS leaders K. T. Rama Rao and T. Harish Rao, mocking their remarks and predicting defeat for their party in upcoming local body elections. He spoke at Gandhi Bhavan.
Mallu Ravi mocks KTR and Harish Rao
Mallu Ravi said listening to KTR and Harish Rao preach morals sounded laughable. After ruling for ten years, he argued, the BRS leaders pushed Telangana back by decades. Now, however, they posed as teachers of ethics. He likened their statements to “demons reciting scriptures.”
According to Ravi, people gave BRS ten years of power but the state still regressed by 50 years. In contrast, he praised Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for introducing caste census and the BC bill in the Assembly.
Congress leader predicts BRS defeat
Ravi said BRS leaders were dreaming in broad daylight if they thought they could return to power. Moreover, voters had already given the party “zero seats” in Parliament elections. He predicted the same result in the upcoming local body polls, insisting BRS faced another “zero mark.”
He urged both the public and the media to follow BRS statements closely. Instead of empty criticism, he said, the party should act as a constructive opposition. Therefore, he advised them to welcome the positive initiatives being taken by the Congress government. Ravi appealed to people to support what he described as revolutionary changes under public governance.
