Madhapur murder: Four booked for killing hotel worker

Hyderabad: Four persons allegedly beat a man with sticks and stabbed him to death in Madhapur on Tuesday night. Cyberabad police have registered a murder case and launched an investigation.

The deceased, Senepalli Bhaskar (32), hailed from Upparpalli village in Vardhannapet mandal of Warangal district. He worked at Sri Sri Suites (Noma) Hotel near Dhruva College in Madhapur.

According to the police, Bhaskar had allegedly harassed a woman for some time. Her family had earlier warned him and filed a police complaint. The woman later got married. However, her husband reportedly divorced her after Bhaskar allegedly continued contacting her. Police also alleged that Bhaskar later harassed the woman’s sister.

Police investigate Madhapur murder after fatal attack

Investigators said the woman’s father, Raju, blamed Bhaskar for disrupting his daughter’s life. After learning about the alleged harassment of his second daughter, Raju, his brother-in-law Kumaraswamy, and two other relatives allegedly travelled from Warangal to Hyderabad on Tuesday night.

The four men allegedly attacked Bhaskar with sticks and knives at the hotel where he worked. They fled immediately after the assault. Police rushed Bhaskar to Kondapur Government Hospital. However, doctors declared him dead.

Madhapur police have registered a case and are investigating the sequence of events. Officers are also working to trace everyone involved in the incident.
