Hyderabad: The Madhapur hotel death of a woman from Visakhapatnam triggered a police investigation after officers found serious injuries on her face and head. Police suspected that her boyfriend may have killed her.
Police identified the deceased as Sharon Nikitha Topno, a native of Visakhapatnam. She had arrived in Hyderabad with her boyfriend, Srinivasa Ravi Teja, on Monday afternoon.
The couple booked Room No. 303 at Hotel OSLN Terminus in Siddiq Nagar through the OYO app. They later stayed together in the room.
Around 1 am, Madhapur police received information about the woman’s death from a private hospital in Kondapur. Srinivasa Ravi Teja had taken her to the hospital with help from hotel staff.
Doctors examined Sharon Nikitha and confirmed that she had died by the time she reached the hospital. Police then arrived and examined the body.
Officers noticed serious injuries and swelling on her face and head. The injuries prompted police to examine the circumstances surrounding the Madhapur hotel death.
Madhapur hotel death investigation finds bloodstains in room
Police later inspected Room No. 303 at the hotel. During the inspection, they found suspicious bloodstains on the walls and bedsheet.
Following the discovery, police called a clues team to the hotel. The team collected evidence from the room for the investigation.
Meanwhile, Srinivasa Ravi Teja left the hospital after learning about the woman’s death. He reportedly left without informing hospital staff.
Police launched a search for him and examined his suspected role in the Madhapur hotel death. Investigators also continued checking the evidence recovered from the hotel room.
Madhapur police registered a case and began investigating the circumstances of the woman’s death. They shifted her body to Osmania Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
The police search for Srinivasa Ravi Teja continued as investigators examined the hotel room and other available evidence.
