Madeenaguda Hafeezpet civic issues reviewed during ward visit

Hyderabad: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner directed departments to address Madeenaguda Hafeezpet civic issues on priority after reviewing residents’ concerns during a ward visit.

The Commissioner visited Madeenaguda and Hafeezpet wards under Miyapur Circle in the Serilingampally Zone. The inspection formed part of the civic body’s “One Ward Every Day” programme. The local MLA, Serilingampally Zonal Commissioner, Miyapur Circle Deputy Commissioner and officials from the departments concerned joined the visit.

During the inspection, the Commissioner interacted with representatives of residents’ welfare associations and local residents. The officials reviewed civic problems raised by residents in both wards.

Madeenaguda Hafeezpet civic issues cover roads and drainage

Residents raised requirements for cement concrete and bituminous roads. They also sought repairs to damaged roads in the wards. Drainage, underground drainage and storm-water management problems also came up during the discussions. In addition, residents flagged concerns related to waterlogging.

Street lighting and other electrical works were among the issues reviewed. Residents also sought development of parks and improvement of public amenities. Meanwhile, officials examined concerns involving traffic movement and pedestrian access. Encroachments and illegal dumping were also brought to the Commissioner’s attention during the visit.

Residents further raised requirements concerning community hall works and graveyard-related works. After reviewing the Madeenaguda Hafeezpet civic issues, the Commissioner asked the departments concerned to work in coordination. The Commissioner directed officials to take up the identified works on priority.

Officials were also instructed to ensure timely action on the problems raised by residents during the ward-level inspection.
