Hyderabad: Additional Commissioner of Police, Crimes & SIT, M. Srinivas, IPS, conducted a review meeting on Monday with the Women Safety Wing (WSW) of Hyderabad City Police. He issued key instructions to improve safety protocols and victim support mechanisms.
The meeting, held at the police headquarters, was attended by DCP Lavanya NJP and officers from the seven Women Police Stations. Additionally, SHE Teams, Bharosa Centres, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit, and Juvenile Bureau Unit officers attended.
Focus on empathy, vigilance, and swift justice
Srinivas directed all personnel to treat victims with empathy and create a supportive atmosphere for those approaching the police. He instructed staff to expedite the execution of non-bailable warrants (NBWs) to ensure strict adherence to legal processes.
He also stressed the importance of timely case resolution. Furthermore, he asked officers to ensure that all victims receive fair and prompt justice.
Addressing the upcoming All India Industrial Exhibition (Numaish) at Nampally, Srinivas called on SHE Teams to maintain heightened vigilance. This is to prevent crimes against women and ensure a secure environment for visitors.
Reaffirming the city police’s commitment, he said the Women Safety Wing must lead efforts to ensure women feel safe and supported across Hyderabad.
