Hyderabad: LeGazole Plus Eco Solutions Pvt. Ltd. won the “Best Green Product” (MSME) award at the FICCI Chemical and Petrochemical Awards 2025 for its innovation DECARB, a bio-based fuel conditioner that reduces emissions and fuel use.
Mohammed Abdul Mannan, a researcher and innovator in petrochemicals, received the award on behalf of the company. He played a key role in developing DECARB and has led multiple sustainability-focused innovations in industrial processes.
The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) recognised DECARB for its impact on India’s decarbonisation goals. Developed under the Make in India initiative, the product improves fuel efficiency across sectors without requiring engine changes.
DECARB uses bio-based additives to enhance combustion in diesel engines. As a result, it delivers 7–12% fuel savings and up to 60% reduction in particulate matter. It also cuts CO₂ emissions by up to 12%. Therefore, it is especially useful in high-emission sectors like transport, mining, and construction.

DECARB shows proven results in public sector trials
India relies on imported crude for over 85% of its oil needs, spending around ₹16 lakh crore annually. Moreover, diesel and furnace oil are major pollution sources. DECARB provides an affordable solution that helps industries lower emissions using existing engines.
The product has been tested by IIT Hyderabad, BITS Pilani, and NABL-certified labs. It was also trialled by public and private sector entities. At Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL), a large-scale test showed 12% diesel savings and 708 tonnes of CO₂ reduction.
Furthermore, DECARB supports national targets such as the Net Zero 2070 vision and biofuel blending programs. It also helps companies meet ESG goals and benefit from carbon credit systems. Because it is cost-neutral, MSMEs and PSUs can adopt it without extra expense.
“This FICCI award confirms the need for scalable, local solutions,” a LeGazole spokesperson said. “DECARB helps India save fuel, cut pollution, and fast-track its Net Zero goals.”
LeGazole Plus Eco Solutions, based in Hyderabad, focuses on developing eco-friendly fuel technologies. Through its innovations, it supports India’s broader energy and climate priorities.
