KTR unveils BRS diary 2026, slams Congress for governance failures

Hyderabad: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday unveiled the party’s 2026 New Year diary at Telangana Bhavan. He used the occasion to issue a sharp critique of the Congress government’s performance in Telangana.

Addressing party leaders and cadres, KTR alleged that the change in government had not translated into any improvement in people’s lives. He claimed Telangana had been regressing over the past two years. He warned that conditions similar to the pre-Telangana era were re-emerging as he introduced the BRS diary for 2026.

Highlighting ongoing farmer distress, he said that long queues for urea despite cold weather had returned under Congress rule. “This was never seen during KCR’s decade-long governance,” he asserted while showing the newly unveiled BRS diary.

Recalling the 14-year statehood movement led by BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao, KTR said the welfare and development achieved during BRS rule had left an “indelible signature of progress.” “No one can erase that,” he declared following the diary introduction.

He praised BRS workers for leading protests against alleged governance failures. These include the non-implementation of loan waivers, denial of Rythu Bandhu benefits, and land disputes at Hyderabad Central University. There were also incidents in the Musi basin and Lagcherla. He dismissed the Congress party’s ‘Six Guarantees’ as “420 promises,” adding the importance of the BRS diary 2026 as a roadmap for the future.

KTR emphasized the importance of grassroots strength, stating that electoral outcomes are temporary. In contrast, the pink flag and KCR’s place in Telangana’s public memory are permanent. This sentiment is echoed in the BRS diary 2026.

He underlined that BRS views politics as a commitment to public welfare, not a contest for power. While calling for a balance between agitation and party building, he said the party would continue to fight on the strength of justice and people’s support. This is outlined in the diary released.

KTR concluded by reiterating BRS’s goal of returning KCR to power in 2028. He urged workers to remain committed despite political challenges, marking the diary as a significant tool in this endeavor.
