KTR slams Congress over SIT notice to KCR, calls it political vendetta

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Thursday slammed the Congress-led government for issuing phone-tapping probe notices to former Telangana chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, calling it a clear case of political vendetta.

Reacting on platform X, KTR said, “This is not an inquiry. This is vengeance not justice. What we are witnessing is political malice.” He alleged that the ruling Congress was using baseless investigations to shift attention from its own failures in governance.

Phone-tapping probe notices a political vendetta, says KTR

According to KTR, KCR is a visionary who led the Telangana movement with unmatched resolve. He said KCR governed the state for ten years with a people-first approach. Under his leadership, Telangana launched key welfare and infrastructure programmes such as Mission Bhagiratha, Mission Kakatiya, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bima, and Dalit Bandhu.

KTR added that KCR nurtured the state like his own child and ensured all communities were included in development. He claimed that this inclusive model earned KCR deep public support.

Congress failed to deliver on promises, alleges BRS

KTR accused the Congress of deceiving voters with false promises. He said the party had failed to implement its pledges within the first year of power. Instead, it was now resorting to political revenge by targeting KCR.

He called the notice a disgrace to the spirit of the Telangana movement and said it insulted the pride of the people. “You cannot erase Telangana’s history with notices,” he said. “Only the people’s verdict can decide the state’s path.”

KTR reaffirmed BRS’s resolve to oppose what he described as unjust and vengeful governance. He said the party would continue to fight on behalf of the people.
