Hyderabad: BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday accused Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and his cabinet of neglecting the worsening urea shortage in Telangana while pursuing political engagements outside the state.
He questioned the government’s priorities amid rising distress among farmers. “Farmers are struggling here, but where are the Chief Minister and ministers? The issues are in Telangana, yet the CM and his ministers are in Delhi and Bihar,” he said.
Urea crisis Telangana: BRS targets Congress and BJP over inaction
KTR alleged that the Congress and BJP had failed to act. “Congress MPs are unaware when it comes to urea, and BJP MPs do not even attempt to address the situation,” he said. He accused national parties of prioritising election strategies over the needs of Telangana’s farmers.
“The government needs to take rapid steps to address the challenges confronted by farmers,” he said, warning that the public is closely watching the government’s inaction. He demanded immediate intervention to resolve the crisis and ensure accountability from state leadership.
