Hyderabad: KTR criticism of the Congress government intensified after family members reportedly carried a dead body on their shoulders due to lack of support facilities, with the BRS leader alleging that Telangana had slipped in basic public services.
BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao said the incident reflected worsening governance in the state. He alleged that poor families could not receive even basic dignity after death under the present administration.
Recalling the previous BRS government, KTR said the K. Chandrashekar Rao administration introduced special vehicles to transport dead bodies and support poor families during final rites.
He described the initiative as a reflection of humanity and respect for people’s dignity. However, he alleged that the present situation under the Congress government had turned painful and humiliating for Telangana society.
KTR criticism targets Congress governance
KTR questioned the government over spending large amounts on publicity campaigns, meetings, tours and helicopters while allegedly failing to provide essential emergency services to the public.
He accused the Congress government of focusing more on political attacks and publicity instead of addressing people’s hardships.
According to KTR, former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao governed Telangana with the aim of ensuring every poor family lived with dignity. He alleged that people were now witnessing hardship again after the change in government.
KTR also questioned whether public resources only served political campaigns and official tours while poor families struggled even during final rites.
He said the incident affected not just one family and described it as a disturbing reflection of the present condition of society in Telangana.
