KTR slams Congress, declares BRS will return to power in 2028

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the Congress government in Telangana, accusing it of corruption, misgovernance, and policy confusion. He asserted that the BRS would return in 2028, led by K. Chandrashekar Rao’s grassroots movement.

Speaking at a party gathering, KTR alleged that the Telangana Congress had turned into an “ATM” for Delhi-based political interests. He questioned why no inquiry had been initiated into alleged irregularities involving Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.

He ridiculed defected MLAs and dared them to resign and contest fresh by-elections, calling their actions opportunistic. KTR accused the Congress of weakening rural employment schemes, committing environmental violations, and pushing flawed amendments that ignored public needs.

“The Congress is more focused on changing names than addressing real issues. Both Congress and BJP are playing with people’s welfare,” he said.

Warning of administrative chaos in Hyderabad, he criticised the government’s municipal restructuring as unscientific, predicting the BRS return to power in 2028.

KTR also announced that BRS would soon launch a massive membership drive. He said KCR would lead a people-first movement aimed at restoring stability and development in Telangana, leading to the BRS return in 2028.

“People have already given their verdict. BRS will indeed return in 2028,” KTR declared.
