HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President, K.T. Rama Rao (KTR), has addressed the recent ‘Eno’ campaign initiated by Congress leaders. This campaign emerged following KTR’s remarks on investments secured during his Davos tour. In response, Congress leaders suggested that KTR was experiencing ‘indigestion’ over these investments and humorously recommended he consume ‘Eno’ for relief. They further publicized this sentiment by placing hoardings across the city, depicting KTR and previous CM K. Chandrashekar Rao consuming ‘Eno’.
In a media briefing at Telangana Bhavan, KTR countered these actions, accusing Congress leaders of spreading falsehoods and misleading the public. He remarked, “Recently, advertisements have surfaced suggesting I should consume ‘Eno’ due to alleged indigestion over investments brought in by these Congress ‘soldiers’. However, the public is well aware that these claims are baseless.”
KTR further challenged Congress leaders, particularly Revanth Reddy, to specify timelines for the realization of these purported investments and the subsequent employment opportunities for Telangana’s youth. He asserted that if these investments materialize, the BRS would acknowledge and honor them. However, he urged Revanth Reddy to refrain from disseminating false information.
This exchange underscores the ongoing political tensions between the BRS and Congress in Telangana, highlighting the contentious discourse surrounding state investments and development initiatives.
