KTR questions Congress ethics over Danam Nagender’s name in campaign list

Hyderabad: BRS working president K T Rama Rao on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress party, questioning its credibility after the name of BRS MLA Danam Nagender appeared in the AICC’s list of star campaigners for the Jubilee Hills by-election.

Speaking to the media after inspecting a Basti Dawakhana in Khairatabad, KTR asked, “How can a sitting BRS MLA feature on Congress’s campaign list? Does the Congress have any ethics or rules?”

“This is not AICC, it’s All India Corruption Committee”

Ridiculing the Congress, KTR said the AICC now stands for “All India Corruption Committee.” He accused the party of poaching 10 MLAs from BRS and indulging in unethical politics. “These defected MLAs behave one way before the Speaker and another way in public. They can’t even openly state which party they belong to,” he said.

He dared the defected legislators to resign and face fresh elections if they have the courage.

“Congress must release pending staff salaries”

KTR also demanded that the state government immediately clear pending salaries of staff at Basti Dawakhanas and Anganwadi centres. He accused CM Revanth Reddy’s administration of negligence and delay in paying frontline healthcare workers.

BRS forms health committee to inspect government hospitals

In a related announcement, KTR said the BRS has formed a dedicated committee to examine conditions at government hospitals across Telangana. The team will be led by former deputy chief minister Tatikonda Rajaiah and include BRS MLA Dr Kalvakuntla Sanjay and former MLA Dr Methuku Anand.

“The committee will conduct ground visits and prepare a detailed report on the deteriorating state of healthcare infrastructure. We will present the findings to the government,” he added.
