Hyderabad: BRS working president and MLA K. T. Rama Rao helped young cyclist Ramya Saidhulu secure a professional racing bicycle after he promised support for her Olympic dream.
Ramya, who hails from Kanchanapally village in Nalgonda district, had appealed to KTR during a public interaction at the Doctors Cricket Awards event. She sought help as the absence of a professional racing bicycle had become a major hurdle in her training.
The bicycle cost nearly Rs 10 lakh. However, Ramya could not afford it because of financial hardship. She had lost her father at a young age and grew up in difficult conditions.
Despite those challenges, she continued cycling with determination. As a result, she earned recognition at state and national levels.
