KTR accuses CM Revanth of BJP ties, slams Congress rule in Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Saturday launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, accusing him of acting as a “BJP mole in Congress garb” during roadshows held across Jukkal, Banswada, and Yellareddy constituencies.

KTR alleged that the Chief Minister maintained a hidden alliance with the BJP. Branding Revanth a “Trojan Horse” within Congress, he appealed to voters especially minorities to look beyond the party’s image and question its motives.

KTR hits out at Congress leadership, questions unfulfilled promises

The BRS leader criticised the Chief Minister’s political language and administrative approach, saying he preferred personal attacks over addressing legitimate questions from the opposition. KTR claimed that instead of focusing on governance, the Congress government had obsessed over attacking former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao.

He also targeted former Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy for switching to Congress. Questioning the shift, he demanded that Pocharam resign and seek re-election. To underscore political inconsistency, KTR played earlier clips where Revanth Reddy had allegedly criticised Pocharam.

KTR further accused the Congress government of adopting a “loot-and-scoot” model of governance. He alleged irregularities in campaign funding and flagged unfulfilled welfare promises, including delays in pensions and financial aid schemes.

Calling the municipal elections a referendum on Congress rule, KTR urged voters to support BRS to ensure continuity in Telangana’s development agenda.
