NAGARKURNOOL: Telangana Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy has assured that the government is making all possible efforts to safely rescue the eight workers trapped in the SLBC tunnel. He, along with senior Congress leader and former minister Jana Reddy, monitored the ongoing rescue operations at the site.
Speaking to the media, Venkat Reddy criticized the opposition parties for their remarks on the incident. He stated that while eight workers are still trapped, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leaders were focusing on political criticism instead of showing concern for the rescue efforts.
The minister also condemned BRS working president and former minister K.T. Rama Rao’s (KTR) tweet on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), in which KTR criticized Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for not visiting the SLBC tunnel accident site. Venkat Reddy dismissed KTR’s remarks as unwarranted and urged opposition leaders to focus on constructive efforts rather than political attacks.
The rescue operation continues as officials work to safely evacuate the trapped workers.
