Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy marked Ambedkar Jayanti by paying tributes to Dr B R Ambedkar and announcing development works in Nalgonda.
He garlanded Ambedkar’s statue in Nalgonda and addressed local leaders and residents. At the same time, he highlighted Ambedkar’s emphasis on education as a path to empowerment.
The Minister said Ambedkar remained an inspiration for all sections of society. Therefore, he stressed the need to follow his ideals in public policy and governance.
He said the government prioritised education and infrastructure in Nalgonda constituency. In addition, he announced road development works from Panagal to the DEO office at a cost of ₹15 crore.
Ambedkar Jayanti focus on development and education
Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said the area would be named Ambedkar Circle as part of the initiative. He added that the move aimed to honour Ambedkar’s legacy.
He assured support for poor students pursuing higher education. At the same time, he said both the government and he personally would extend assistance.
The Minister reiterated that education remained key to empowerment. Consequently, he said development efforts would align with Ambedkar’s vision.
